Traditional Turntablism
Intro to DJing (Beginner)

Join us in our 8-week course focusing on music theory, equipment use, beginner scratching, and mixing/beat matching! This program is perfect for the new aspiring DJ or veteran looking to refresh their skills. This class focuses on fundamental skills, entirely on Turntables & Vinyl. These foundational skills build confidence and provide a solid foundation for mechanics and timing that help with the transition of technology when advancing in our other courses.

Each Class Length: 75 Minute Sessions
Instructors: Mr Choc + DJ Flip Flop

Equipment: Two Turntables, Mixer and Vinyl provided.

Age Requirement: Students must be 18+ to enroll
Follow up class: This class is a prerequisite for the Foundation Program.
Pricing: $825
Additional Materials Needed: Students will need to provide their own headphones or ear buds. BJIOS Training Wax not included and must be purchased separately.

Foundation (Intermediate)
If you’ve already completed Intro to DJing, or are a veteran in the game looking to refresh your skills, Foundation is the program that will get you to where you want to be. In this 8-12 month course, we’ll be covering everything from analog to digital. Intro to DJing is a prerequisite of this course. Otherwise, you must pass an assessment to be considered.
120 Minute Sessions
1x week
8/9Month Program - classes may vary depending on day of class and conflict with holidays and BJIOS closures.

Vinyl to Serato DVS
Students must be 18+ to enroll
Prerequisite: Intro to DJing or Assessment

Structure (Advanced)
Once you’ve completed Intro to DJing and Foundation - Congrats! You are eligible to join us for our most advanced program at BJIOS: Structure. This course goes hard in the paint, and covers cutting-edge techniques—from beat juggling to live-streaming, this class sets you apart from other DJs in the game.
