Join us in our 8-week course focusing on music theory, equipment use, beginner scratching, and mixing/beat matching! This program is perfect for the new aspiring DJ or the veteran who’s looking to refresh their skills. This class focuses on fundamental skills, entirely on Turntables & Vinyl.
Number Of Classes: 8
Each Class Length: 60 Minute Sessions
Instructor: Mr Choc + DJ Flip Flop
Type: In-Person Group Session
Equipment: Two Turntables, Mixer and Vinyl provided.
Los Angeles Location: Glendale, CA
Age Requirement: Students must be 18+ to enroll
Follow up class: This class is a prerequisite for Foundation

Has your child taken on an interest in music? Have them try something new and challenging! In Intro to DJing for Kids, we’ll cover music theory, equipment use, beginner scratching, and mixing/beat matching! We highly emphasize the core fundamentals in which we focus on mechanics & technique.

Soul Source 5-Year Anniversary
Soul Source is back to celebrate 🤚🏾years of flava with our most legendary lineup to date- featuring “The Funky President” @jrocc210 of The World Famous Beat Junkies and 9X Grammy Award and 22X platinum producer and DJ @easymobee! We’ll also be blessed on the set by the Denver/LA renaissance selector @djlowkey and your faithful residents @therealmrchoc @mantron and @blksoap__.
It all goes down on Sunday, May 28th (Memorial Day weekend) so we can get open for extended hours. Doors open at 6pm @melrosehouse.la and admission is FREE for the first hour so come early and stay late! As always please help us spread the word, but most importantly- spread love. 💜💛

Join us for a free one-day festivity showcasing the discovery and love of vinyl records and features more than a dozen vendors selling records from a variety of music genres, workshop demos on DJing, artmaking activities, interactive augmented reality (AR) experience, dance performances, live DJs and more!
